Vice President Research - IDC

Serge Findling is Vice-President of Research with IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP) and the CIO Agenda program. Serge focuses on digital transformation leadership for business and technology executives. He also manages IDC's Information and Data Transformation practice, helping organizations successfully weather and capitalize on the changes brought about by today's disruptive transformation in information management. Serge supports clients through research, consulting, training, and speaking engagements. He also serves as an Energy and IT advisor at the Houston Technology Center and counsels startups at the MIT Enterprise Forum.

Serge is a transformational global business leader with over 30 years of leadership experience in Fortune 50 technology environments, forging pioneering changes in outcomes and organizational cultures. His expertise includes a broad range of functions including strategy, global business development, planning, operations, marketing, communications, finance, cost control, procurement, contracting, and all aspects of IT.

In his previous position at Hewlett-Packard, Serge directly supported eight CIOs and EVPs of global operations and led their most critical initiatives. Prior to HP, Serge had executive responsibility at Compaq, Digital Equipment, and Spie-Batignolles, an international construction leader.

Serge graduated in civil engineering from Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics, one of the prestigious French grandes écoles, and has a degree in economics from the Sorbonne University. He received his executive education at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He also holds a data science specialization (via Coursera) from Johns Hopkins University.
